Course Information
August 2019
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I am looking forward to having your child as a student in Geometry. Below are a few items that will help your child be successful this year.
Supplies needed
Electronic Devices
The only electronic device expected to be used or visible in the classroom is a calculator. All other devices should be turned off and placed out of sight before entering the room. Phones will be collected if they are out or being used during class.
Textbook
All students will be supplied with a copy of the Prentice Hall Geometrytext.
Practice
Your student will have an assignment almost every class period. A schedule of assignments and tests will be provided for each chapter. Students are responsible for assignments regardless of their attendance. Each problem needs to be corrected, re-done when necessary, and kept in a 3-ring binder in chronological order with all other handouts. For full credit, your child will need to doeach problem on every assignment and to show all steps he/she took to get the answer. Please encourage your student to check and correct their answers on their assignment using the answers provided online at nvhstruelove-tedham.weebly.com.
Checking Your Student’s Progress
Please monitor your child’s progress using ParentVue and encourage your child to keep track of grades on StudentVue.
